HEAR from the employer...

"When I think about social outcomes, it creates an emotional response in me because it really resonates with who I think we are as a business and also as individuals. We are good people who do good things. Our involvement in some of the largest infrastructure projects in the world gives us huge influence and opportunity to deliver better outcomes for the communities we work in."

HEAR from the EMPLOYEES...

"I enjoy feeling part of a team but also feel that I add value to the wider company. I learn something new every day and each day is different. I also like the idea of ‘Earn while you learn’!"

Meg Pearson
Transport Planning Technician Apprentice

"My career has developed beyond what I thought I could do. I just recently had a chat with a friend who is studying the same field but not working at any company, I compared myself with him and found that, I have developed greater and deeper understanding of the same area of studies and practical understanding than he has! Having the opportunity to study and apply what you have studied at work is a huge career development compared to someone who is just studying."

Daniel Nguyen
Hydraulic Drafter Apprentice

What advice would you give to current students applying to Mott MacDonald?

"Think about what you care about the most, and what most interests you in alignment with the role you are applying for. Your passion for a topic will translate, giving you the opportunity to determine the path you walk within a supportive team who recognises and encourages your strengths."

Kate Molony
Façade engineering Apprentice

"The reason I chose to do an apprenticeship with Mott MacDonald is because it allows me to learn theoretical knowledge and work based skills that prepare me for a career in civil engineering. It also allows me to work on interesting projects with people who understand the industry. Another benefit of the apprenticeship is that it enables you to get an EngTech qualification.
Mott MacDonald encourages you to further develop your career. Since starting I have been assigned a SCE and DE who I meet up with on a regular basis. I’ve also had the opportunity to attend a few training courses."

Mustafa Kutubudin
Buildings Apprentice

"The culture of Mott MacDonald offers acceptance whilst also shining in professional excellence. The working environment is friendly and is always open to different initiatives and supports any questions within the working platform."

Faith
Quantity Surveying Apprentice

"I really like how my colleagues help me to perform different tasks and learn new skills. This course offers many challenges that present opportunities to learn on the job. I think this is a great way to learn new things such as software like AutoCAD, producing and delivering presentations or learning to read and produce different kinds of drawings. "
