A bit MORE about us...

Who we are

BDO NI is a Northern Ireland based partnership that focuses on local businesses and global companies that invest in the region. A proud member of the BDO Global network and through this our reach extends to 166 countries and territories across the world. We are based in the heart of Belfast City Centre and have been serving clients for more than 35 years.

We specialise in helping businesses, whether start-ups or multinationals, to grow, through offering a multi-pronged service offering of Audit, Tax, and Advisory services all under one roof. We take an active interest in our clients' businesses working closely as business advisers, not just as accountants, auditors or taxation specialists, providing an integrated business advisory solution for clients.

We are now offering exciting Accounting Technicians opportunities starting in Autumn 2025, through our bespoke Higher-Level Apprenticeship Programme. Whether you are a school-leaver or changing career, if you have a keen interest in accountancy, with strong numerical and analytical skills, good communication skills and team-working abilities, we would love to hear from you.

Join our Audit or Tax teams and immerse yourself in a professional setting where you will learn from experienced accountants and business advisors, and contribute to real client projects.

What we do

Our clients are Northern Ireland’s economic engine; ambitious, entrepreneurial spirited, and high-growth businesses that fuel the economy, and the owners and management teams that lead them. We help our clients succeed by investing in our time with clients and offering integrated advice and solutions to an ever-changing market. We strive to add value to our clients' enterprises, so that our balanced and actionable advice helps them to achieve their goals and objectives.

Employee Benefits

Explore more than a classroom, explore a whole industry.

With BDO NI you will have the opportunity to gain experience across a wide variety of sectors and clients, which will give you the breadth and depth of experience that you need to excel, both in your Higher-Level Apprenticeship and also in your long-term career.

As a Higher-Level Apprentice, you will play an integral role within our Audit or Tax Teams, both on site at clients and in the office. Here at #TeamBDO we do everything we can to optimise our employees’ careers giving them the opportunity to build business relationships with some of the most influential business leaders in the province and gain experience across different industries. In addition, as part of #TeamBDO, you will get to know and work with colleagues from different departments and have one-to-one interaction with our Partners.

While you gain invaluable experience, you will be supported in your study towards the Accounting Technicians qualification including paid time to attend college one day each week and additional study leave. Throughout your work and study, you will be mentored and supported in your development by more experienced colleagues within the Audit and Tax teams and wider Firm.
