In order to ensure we are gaining access to the best candidates to help grow our team we have extended our annual recruitment to include apprentices. Employing apprentices will enable us to train and develop a young person while supporting them with their academic studies providing us with an engineer who grows and develops over an extended period of time.

Founded in 2005, Design ID is an award–winning civil & structural engineering practice, with a reputation for innovative design solutions and lateral thinking. From our offices in Hillsborough (County Down) and London, we have developed a diverse portfolio of work, extending throughout the UK and Ireland.
Our team of dynamic, creative and ambitious engineers and designers are known for their flexible and pro–active approach towards working with architects, artists, designers, developers and contractors.
Our experience of working within multidisciplinary teams enables us to make a positive contribution at the early stages of the design process, where our engineering input can help achieve elegant and cost–effective solutions.
What we do
We pride ourselves on developing skills and expertise beyond those of traditional structural engineers. Our work combines the informed use of technology with our extensive experience of working with a wide range of materials.
Our projects consist of large–scale residential developments, commercial, healthcare, hotels, bespoke residential properties, education, leisure, cultural buildings and retail. We also have considerable experience of remedial and refurbishment work in the conservation of historic buildings.
